Cultural Diversity & Competency

The team at Counseling center are especially sensitive to issues of diversity and their influence on student adjustment, identity, and growth. We are committed to providing services for issues related to diversity (e.g. multiculturalism, gender, disability, and/or race) with an emphasis on appreciating the impact of individual differences.

We work regularly with students from diverse backgrounds and attend to issues of ethnicity, race and culture and their impact on student identity and development, self-esteem, and academic adjustment.

As a student currently enrolled at CU you are eligible to benefit from the services of the counselling center. Additionally, spouses, children as well as faculty and staff are welcome. You have the right to request for a particular counsellor and we promised that your request will be given serious consideration where possible.
