Applied Biology and Biotechnology
(a) To stimulate appreciation of the science of biology and its diverse applications.
(b) To provide students with a broad, sound and balanced knowledge in a range of areas of basic biology, applied biology and biotechnology in a stimulating and supportive environment that is enriched by research
(c) To prepare graduates for teaching in basic biology and for post-graduate research work in Biology/Applied Biology/Biotechnology or other biology-related discipline.
(d) To inculcate in students the knowledge and skills needed for self employment.
To be eligible for the award of B. Sc. (Hons.) in Applied Biology and Biotechnology, a student must register for and pass a minimum of 163 units of courses as shown below.
