Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
(a) To provide the students with a broad and balanced foundation of biochemical knowledge and techniques.
(b) To impact to the students appropriate practical skills and abilities to handle biochemical problems.
(c) To inspire the students at instinctually stimulating and satisfying learning experience in biochemistry.
(d) To generate in students an appreciation of the importance of biochemistry in industrial, economic, environmental, technological and social development.
(e) To prepare students for further studies in specialized areas of biochemistry or in multi-disciplinary areas involving biochemistry such as molecular biology and biotechnology.
(f) To inculcate in students knowledge and skills needed for self-employment.
To be eligible for the award of B. Sc. (Hons.) in Biochemistry, a student must register for and pass a minimum of 166 units of courses as shown below
