CST Organises Hooding Programme

As part of the events outlined for the 7th Convocation Ceremony, a hooding programme was organised by the College of Science and Technology for its graduating students at the Lecture Theatre on Thursday, June 28, 2012

The Guest Lecturer for the occasion, Engr. Bill Anaka presented a paper titled, “Where do I go from here?” He said the concept of leadership has been wrapped by wrong and uncultured people in leadership positions promoting corruption and ungodly culture and hence, he urged them to be the new crop of leaders that will give the correct interpretation of what a true leadership should bring about.

He admonished them to always leave behind and deposit a positive impact in the lives of people they come across. Also, he noted that with a good desire and will power, they can become an effective and developed leader through the process of self study, education, training and experience.

He encouraged them to be potential leaders of the Nation and should be ready to manifest out there for the benefit of the country.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Dean of the College of Science and Technology, Professor Fredrick Hymore, told them to bring forth the changes desired by the people, society and the nation, and they should flourish in whatever field of endeavours they find themselves.

He noted that they should soar like eagles and not depart from all they have been taught in Covenant University.

Professor Hymore noted that 766 students will be graduating from the College out of which there are 48 First Class graduates.
