We know you as a very dependable person, an all rounder, who never fails to air his views on any issue he believes in.”

The Vice-Chancellor also commended him for his impeccable professionalism in library management. He emphasised that Dr. Nkiko’s commitment and excellence in his work has seen the University through every library accreditation exercise without any hitches or default. He stated that all library accreditations done under his leadership have always exceeded the expectations of the accrediting bodies. “Dr. Nkiko always keeps the library resources up-to-date,” he acknowledged.

While presenting the birthday gift from the University Management to Dr. Nkiko, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Abioye, congratulated Dr. Nkiko and wished him long life, good health and prosperity. “You will be surrounded by your children’s children in Jesus Name!” she declared.

In his response, Dr. Nkiko appreciated the University Management for honouring him with a surprise birthday get-together. He said, “I want to appreciate the Management for this wonderful gesture and all the accolades poured on me today. I also acknowledge that these achievements would not be possible except for the platform that the management continually provide for us to be able to express ourselves and use our talents. I am most grateful and overwhelmed by the compliments and gifts.”

Also present at the occasion were the Dean, College of Science and Technology, Professor Nicholas Omoregbe; Dean, College of Engineering, Professor John Ndueso and members of the Directorate of Media and Corporate Affairs.
