CU Student Wins Best Architecture Graduate Award
A Postgraduate student of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Anuoluwapo Temilola Oyenuga, has emerged recipient of the 2016 Female Architects of Nigeria (FAN) Best Student Award.
The award is given by the Female Architects of Nigeria to the overall best graduating female student at B.Sc. level in all the Schools of Architecture in Nigeria.
Miss Oyenuga, currently an M.Sc. I Architecture student at the School of Postgraduate Studies of Covenant University, had last session obtained her B.Sc. in Architecture with a Cumulative Gross Point Average (CGPA) of 4.80.
The Female Architects of Nigeria, in a letter addressed to the Head, Department of Architecture, Covenant University, informed the university about the development and also revealed the invitation of Oyenuga to FAN’s Biennial General Meeting in Abuja, where she is expected to participate fully and receive the award.
The FAN award for Miss Oyenuga comes few months after another product of Covenant University, Abiola Samuel Oluwaseyi, emerged the Best Engineering Graduate of the Year in the 2016 COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) Assembly competition featuring graduates of engineering programmes from all Nigerian universities.
Abiola, who graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of Covenant University in June 2016 with a 4.90 CGPA, emerged overall tops by virtue of his result being superior to that of his peers from both the private and the public universities.
