CU Students come tops at Marketers Competition
Students of Covenant University, Himikanye David and Tolulope Alabi, 300 Level Mass Communication students, have been selected among the top winners in the recently held Advance Future Leader in Marketing Competition.
Speaking on behalf of the duo, Himikanye David said that the competition recorded many entries from students across Nigerian universities and other higher institutions in which they clinched the second and third positions respectively.
He further stated that the competition was about developing a five-year sustainable marketing strategy for new products imported into Nigeria which should appeal to 70-75% of the Nigerian youths. He explained that he found the Competition easy because it was related to what they were exposed to in the classroom.
David, the runner-up, disclosed that Covenant University was the only university that had six students nominated for the interview, which he attributed to the good quality of lecturers at the University. “Our lecturers are world-class lecturers and they are really doing well” he added
David appreciated the Chancellor, for providing a good environment for learning, strong spiritual development and quality academic foundation.
While presenting their awards to them, the Vice-Chancellor congratulated them for making the University proud and being good ambassadors of the University.
