As the University campus continued to attract high visitations by corporate bodies, Friday, March 19, 2007 will however go down in the history of the young vision driven institution as the day it played host to largest number of contingents from a corporate body.

The guests numbering about 145 members were mainly spouses of members of the Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN) who accompanied their partners to the Association’s annual National Conference held at the Gateway Hotel, Ota.

According to the leader of team and wife the National President of AGPMPN, Mrs Tade Sola, Covenant University was chosen as a tour site for the conference because of its unique beauty and spiritual-holding environment, adding that her team were not disappointed by what they saw in cause of their tour round the campus.


“We appreciate this University right from the gate, even the breeze on the campus, is like heaven on earth and we are proud to associate with this university”, she said and commended the University for its warm hospitality.

In her remarks at the occasion, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Aize Obayan, who welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Chancellor, Dr David Oyedepo, highlighted some of the major strides made by the university in its quest to becoming a world-class university.

She urged them to avail their children of the unique learning opportunities available at Covenant University where Kings and Queen are groomed for exploits.

The august visitors, who were all decked in clourful ankara uniforms, were giving guided tour round the University campus and the entire Canaan Land. They also had the opportunity of paying a courtesy call on the Chancellor, Dr David Oyedepo and also interacted with Management team led by the Vice Chancellor Prof Aize Obayan.

At the end of their visit, the association they presented an appreciation award to the Vice Chancellor in recognition of the significant contribution made by Covenant University to overall success of Gateway 2007 Annual Conference of AGPMPN.
