Covenant Supports Landmark University on Institution of Postgraduate School
Covenant University has assured its sister-university, Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara State, of unalloyed support in the establishment of the latter’s Postgraduate School.
The Vice-Chancellor, Covenant University, Professor AAA. Atayero, made this known on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, during a meeting with representatives of Landmark University.
The visiting team, comprised of the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Landmark University, Professor Olusola Agbede, and School Secretary, Ms. Fola Oyinloye, said that the purpose of its visit was to learn from Covenant University the process of setting up her Postgraduate School.
According to Professor Agbede, Landmark University’s expectation was to have a full blown postgraduate school as Covenant University, adding that Landmark wants to go about it in a manner that would be attractive and competitive.
Professor Atayero, in his remarks, shared Covenant University’s experience with the team from Landmark, saying that Covenant’s postgraduate school faced some challenges in the early years of its existence, but the University was ingenious in addressing the challenges, being a University that strives for excellence in every endeavour.
The Vice-Chancellor commended the can-do spirit in the Landmark team and assured that the University has full access to Covenant’s postgraduate school.
Also at the meeting were the Registrar, Covenant University, Dr. Olumuyiwa Oludayo; Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Samuel Wara; and Director, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Dr. David Omole.
