Covenant University further validated its goal for the current academic session- “Expanding our Frontiers, Securing the Future”- in its contribution to the compendium of knowledge from Africa in the field of Anaerobic Bacteriology

The contributions came through the Deputy Dean, School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Professor Louis Egwari at the Anaerobe 2012 Workshop and Congress, USA held at Santa Clara University and San Francisco, United States of America respectively between June 27 and July 1, 2012.

Covenant University’s representative was the only African from an African Universitythat attended the Congress.

He presented two papers on “Occurrence of Otitis Media in Children and Assessment of Treatment Options” and “Antibiotic Susceptibility of Bacterial Pathogens in Otitis Media.”

These studies added to the compendium of knowledge from Africa in the field of Anaerobic Bacteriology and thus presented the African perspective.
