Covenant University to Hold 9th Convocation Ceremony

Activities slated for the 9th Convocation Ceremony of Covenant University will hold between Wednesday 25 and Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the University Chapel, Canaanland, Ota.

The 5-day ceremony will commence with a Special Convocation Assembly, on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the University Chapel. This will be immediately followed by an exhibition to showcase some of the University’s innovations from the Research and Development platform. On the same day, a Special Convocation Service will hold in the evening.

Other activities scheduled for the Ceremony tagged, “The Release of Eagles 2014,” include a Convocation Lecture on Repositioning Nigerian Universities for the 21st Century: Paradigms for Innovation and Change to be delivered by a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State, Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, (SAN) on Thursday, June 26, 2014.

The 2014 Convocation Ceremony for the Awards of First and Higher Degrees, and Presentation of Prizes to graduating students holds on Friday, June 27, 2014. The Keynote Address on Rethinking the Concept of National Transformation: the Role of Higher Education Institutions will be delivered by a former Acting Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Sarah Alade, (OON).

Chancellor’s Special Assembly/Release of 9th Batch of Eagles ceremony, Alumni Investiture and presentation of plaques will hold on Saturday, June 28, 2014

The Convocation Ceremony ends with a Special Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the University Chapel.
