Dr. Christopher Nkiko, Marks Another Year, Receives Accolades
Amidst cheers and encomiums on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, in the Vice-Chancellor’s conference room in Canaan Land, Ota, the Covenant University Management honoured the Director, Centre for Learning Resources, Dr. Christopher Nkiko on the occasion of his birthday.
While making his remarks at the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor AAA. Atayero, pointed out that Dr. Nkiko is an embodiment of dept h and strong acumen which is probably why he is one of the longest serving officers in the University’s Centre for Learning Resources today. The Vice-Chancellor also described him as a man of great tenacity and a technocrat when it comes to corporate politics.
The Vice-Chancellor, further declared the word of God upon the celebrant from the book of Isaiah 65:22, which says, “They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.”
In his remarks, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shalom Chinedu, said about Dr. Nkiko, “I have worked with him closely in the Postgraduate Committee. He is always making contributions. Whenever there are issues, he would always find a way around it. He has always been a strong pillar; someone you can count on in every issue. He is a very great leader on this platform and I just want to congratulate him. Sir, the God that brought you this far, will continue to uphold you in Jesus Name!”
The Registrar, Pastor Olamide Olusegun, also congratulated the celebrant, acclaiming him as a consummate administrator, a dynamic personality and a forthright man, who is very amiable. Pastor Olusegun prayed that God would increase him and take him to higher heights, from glory to a new level of glory.
Speaking about the celebrant at the event, the Dean, College of Business and Social Sciences, Professor Francis Iyoha, stated, “Professor Nkiko is a gentleman to the core, brilliant and intelligent. He is not a lousy man at all. Watching him in the discharge of his responsibilities, you would be able to see his passion at what he does. He is an expert in politics, a very seasoned administrator, a sincere man. May God continue to bless you and provide for you and your household in Jesus Name.”
The Dean, College of Leadership Development Studies , Professor Charles Ogbulogo also congratulated the celebrant. He stated, “I have had the privilege to work with you. You believe in working along the path of honour. This is the beginning of a new day for you, a new season and you will keep celebrating from now on. Celebration will never leave your house in Jesus Name!”
Also commenting at the event was the Dean, College of Science and Technology, Professor Nicholas Omoregbe, who said, “I have known Dr. Nkiko for a while, he is very open minded and will say things the way they are. He is a man of books, very intelligent. I like being around him. Congratulations and God bless you sir.”
The Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Samuel Wara, hailed the celebrant, “Dr. Nkiko is unassuming. He is very analytical about issues. He is very jovial, very open, always listening and always suggesting solutions to issues. I pray for many more days of color for your life and thank God for His faithfulness in your life.”
Others who spoke laudably about the celebrant were the Director, Financial Services, Pastor Bayo Oladehinbo, who commented, “Congratulations! Everyone has spoken the truth. You are a straightforward person. We appreciate the faithfulness of God in your life aand ask for more of God’s blessings on your life. Keep it up sir!”
The Director Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Dr. Omole, said, “I want to say congratulations sir! I have had the privilege of working on several committees with Dr. Nkiko, and just as earlier said by others, he is a man full of wisdom. Whenever he coordinates a meeting, you know he is in charge of issues and in senate, his suggestions are always full of wisdom. We celebrate you sir!”
