While making his remarks at the occasion, he appreciated the University Management for its exemplary leadership to institutions in Africa and also commended the laudable strides he has observed in his former Department in the University, encouraging its further improvement.
He elucidated that it was while he was still on his sabbatical in Covenant University that his appointment as the Deputy Governor came. He stated that his two years sojourn in Covenant University was a great blessing to him.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ayo, appreciated the thoughtfulness of Dr. Kolapo Eleka, in stopping over to visit and also commended his magnanimity in refusing to receive any payment for the PhD students of the University he supervised. He prayed that God would reward the Deputy Governor for his labour of love to the University.
