General Electric Team Seeks Revolutionaries in Covenant University

 

The excellent and quality work ethics of Covenant University graduates has again attracted the interest of employers of labour. The latest interest is coming from representatives of General Electric (GE) who visited the institution recently to draw from the pool of talented agents of change in the University.

During the courtesy visit to the University Management, the team leader, Tayo Aluko, a graduate of Covenant University, said they were on a visit to build a relationship with Covenant University as well as formalize a relationship with undergraduate students, so that they could see GE as an employer of choice.

According to the graduate of Accounting, “Our organization has tasted and experienced the quality of graduates from Covenant University, and we now want to create a platform to make room available and ensure graduates from this University are given career opportunities that are available in our organization.”

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ayo said he was glad to see graduates of the University doing well in their field of endeavour, while also finding time to touch base with their alma mater.

Professor Ayo said it was a thing of joy to know that immediately Eagles, graduates of Covenant University, get out there, they are absorbed by various multinationals and conglomerates. He urged them to ensure they continue to fly the CU flag in their various establishments.

He wished the team well in their endeavour, while also reminding them that Covenant University would always look forward to collaborating with her graduates in any field of human development.

At an interactive session with the students, the team advised them to uphold the philosophy of hard work and to assiduously pursue good grades worthy of the Covenant University brand.

They advised the students to make the most of opportunities available to have internship; a good internship experience with GE and curiosity will definitely earn them employment with GE. According to the team, General Electric is looking for young intelligent people who want to add value and they believe they can get such personnel in Covenant University.

Other Eagles on the team from General Electric were Kunle Ogunjimi, a 1st class Banking and Finance graduate and Segun Dada, a graduate of Computer Engineering.
