NUC Accreditation Team Commends Covenant on Marketing Programme
The National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation Team on visitation to the Marketing programme of Covenant University, has commended the University for making adequate provisions for the running of the programme.
The four-man team led by Professor Aham Anyanwu, had in its summary report presented to the Management of Covenant University on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, said that the philosophy and objectives of the programme, among other provisions, were adequate.
Professor Anyanwu, who presented the report, said that the curriculum was good. He acknowledged that all the students had requisite qualifications, expressed satisfaction with the marking scheme, lauded the library for adequate books and e-resources, and described the existence of a marketing laboratory as encouraging.
While thanking the management of Covenant for giving his team the opportunity to carry out its job, the team leader thanked the University for the hospitality accorded members of his team, adding that the team had enjoyed the cooperation of everybody.
The Director, Academic Planning Unit, Dr. Olawande Daramola, in his comments, expressed deep appreciation to the NUC team for the time spent at Covenant University. He said that the quality of feedback and the objectivity in the NUC team’s report was well received.
In his remarks, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shalom Chinedu, representing the Vice-Chancellor, Covenant University, Professor AAA. Atayero, commended the NUC accreditation team for a job well done and assured that the University will keep on improving in every aspect of the requirements for running its programmes.
Also at the meeting were the representatives of the Registrar and the Director, Financial Services, Deacon Joshua Ogaga-Oghene and Mr. Paul Uwaje respectively; Director, Centre foe Learning Resources, Mrs. Promise Ilo; Dean, College of Business and Social Sciences, Professor Francis Iyoha; Director, Quality and Academic Standard, Dr. Edwin Agwu; Head, Department of Business Management, Dr. Oluwole Iyiola; and some faculty members.
