Omatek Official Visits CU
An official from Omatek Computers visited Covenant University on Thursday, April 11, 2015. He was hosted by the University Management at the Vice Chancellor’s conference room in Canaan Land, Ota.
While making his presentation at the meeting, the Director, Sales and Marketing, Omatek Computers, Dr. Ayodele Frances Adeoye said, “We propose a Business partnership with Covenant University. We want to have a sub-centre base within the University system. It would help to manage and maintain our service. It would also serve as both an IT Learning Centre and revenue generating inflow point which would help service the community.”
He introduced a number of Solar Hybrid alternative Power Solutions to the University Management. According to him, “The solutions combine the benefits of the solar system and those of the LED technology to reduce energy consumption considerably while saving costs by 60-85% and providing 24-hour lighting solution.” Some of the products he presented include Inverter, UPS, Battery, Solar Bulbs, etc.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Charles Ayo, stated, “We are glad to have you visit. As a world class institution, driving a global vision of 1 of 10-in-10, we welcome any idea or product that enhances our vision and is in line with our goals. “
The Vice Chancellor further said, “Based on what we have seen today, we would like to fine-tune the issue of partnership and MoU, so as to make it suitable for what we require as an institution. The commendable part of your presentation today, has to do with the fact that the products are indigenous. We always try to support indigenous technology any way we can. We believe in indigenous ideas, innovations and solutions.”
Present at the meeting were, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Abioye; the Registar, Dr. Olumuyiwa Oludayo; Director, Financial Services, Pastor Deji Okubanjo and members of the Directorate of Media and Corporate Affairs.
