Perksgrey Seeks Partnership with Covenant University

A sports facility development and management company, Pecksgrey Nigeria Limited, is seeking partnership with Covenant University in the area of infrastructural development, sports support, promotion and management.

In a presentation to the University on Thursday, November 5, 2015, the company’s representative, Mr. Remi Olukoya, stated that the reputation of Covenant University as the best private university in Nigeria sparked their interest to partner with the University. He said that their desire was to assist in promoting sports in the University in order to boost the institution’s drive towards the attainment of her goal of joining the league of world class universities by the year 2022.

Mr. Olukoya described sports as one of the areas that could bring great achievements and enhance the vision of any institution. “However,” he said, “it would require putting the right facilities in place.” He encouraged the University to invest more in her sports facilities so as to bring them up to world standard, using them as a means to generate internal revenue.

He advised the University management to view sports facility development as a business investment; stating that standard sports facilities are sought after in any nation for major sports event hosting which brings in a lot of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

In his remarks, the Registrar, Pastor Olamide Olusegun, representing the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ayo, appreciated the official from Perksgrey, stating that the University would be glad to partner with them for mutual benefit. He said that the University in her mission to become one of the top ten universities in the world by the year, 2022, is open to partnerships and collaborations that would add value to her efforts.

Also present at the meeting were the Director, Financial Sevices, Pastor Bayo Oladehinbo; the Dean, Student Affairs, Dr. Zaccheaus Omogbadegun; the Director, Physical Planning & Development, Pastor Azubuike Nwoke; the Covenant University Coach, Mr. John Obogo and a member of the Directorate of Media & Corporate Affairs.
