Professor Dunmade to Present Covenant University’s 5th Inaugural Lecture
A professor of Sustainable Engineering, Professor Israel Dunmade, will present the Covenant University’s 5th Inaugural Lecture. The lecture titled, “Sustainable Engineering: A Vital Approach to Innovative Product Development and Community Capacity Building,” will be presented on Friday, February 19, 2016, at the University Chapel.
Professor Dunmade obtained his First Degree in Agricultural Engineering (B. Eng) at the University of Ilorin, Master’s Degree (M.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos and Doctorate Degree (Dr. Ing) in Environmental and Process Engineering at Brandenburg Technical University, Cottbus, Germany.
Prior to joining the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Covenant University in July 2015, Professor Dunmade was an Associate Professor at Mount Royal University Calgary and Adjunct Professor, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada between 2009 and 2015.
Professor Dunmade is a member of many national and international professional bodies which include, Association of Professional Engineers, American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), Canadian Society of Bioengineering (CSBE) and Nigerian Society of Engineers among others.
The Lecturer has published books and many researched papers in national and international high impact journals. He had also organised various conferences and workshops of international standard.
The 5th Inaugural Lecture will be chaired by the Chancellor and Chairman, Board of Regents of the University, Dr David Oyedepo, while the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ayo, will host the event. Engineering experts in the academia and other professional bodies will be in attendance at the event.
