VC Urges Students to Resist Temptation as Omega Semester Exams Get Underway
The Vice-Chancellor of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Professor Charles Ayo, has admonished the students on the imperative of eschewing malpractices during the Omega (2nd) Semester Examinations of the institution, which started on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
Speaking during the Thursday Chapel Service, Professor Ayo, who expressed satisfaction with how events had gone on the opening day of the examinations, prayed for the success of the students. He, however, warned them to avoid the temptation to cheat.
“In case you consider it a temptation or challenge, you must say no,” he said. “God will give you a way of escape.”
Report on first day of examinations, said the Vice-Chancellor, shows it took place without any malpractices. “We know God is able to see us through without any story of exam malpractices. It would be disheartening if by the end of the day someone is shown the way out of the school. So, I enjoin you to resist any form of temptation to engage in examination malpractices,” said Professor Ayo.
“It would be to the glory of the Lord should the Omega Semester examinations go without any unwholesome development,” he added.
The examination is expected to end on Friday, April 29, 2016.
