Vice-Chancellor visits Chaplaincy, CU Counselling Centre, CU-IGR
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ayo, accompanied by members of his management team, continued his annual visit to Directorates, Centres and Units on Thursday, January 14, 2016, to touch base with various aspects of the University government, as well as interact with different levels of staff of the university. The visit was to enhance the quality of synergy and management at the grassroots in other to drive development and excellence at all levels.
The heads of the concerned units took advantage of the opportunity to present their score cards, challenges, developmental strategies and plans, for assessment and input from the management team.
Among the Directorates, Centres and Units visited were the Internally Generated Revenue unit, headed by Mr. Opeyemi Babatunde, the Counselling Centre, headed by Dr. Adekunle Oyeyemi, and the Chaplaincy, overseen by Pastor Charles Ihekweaba.
In his response to the challenges of the various Units, Centres and Directorates, the Vice-Chancellor promised to expedite action in addressing the issues so as to create a more conducive environment to maximise the performance of the core assignments of the concerned units thereby moving the University forward in her goal of becoming a world class institution by the year 2022.
The heads of the units visited, pledged to proactively support Management’s drive towards the fulfilment of vision 1 of 10-in-10. They appreciated the Management’s effort in providing them with a conducive environment to work in as well as, necessary incentives towards reaching their various goals as directorates, centres and units.
On the Vice-Chancellor’s team, were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Abioye; Registrar, Pastor Olamide Olusegun; Director, Financial Services, Pastor Bayo Oladehinbo, Director, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Dr. Akan Williams, staff of the Vice-Chancellor’s and Registrar’s offices as well as staff of the Media and Corporate Affairs.
