Summary of Profile
Dr Bowale obtained his Bsc degree in Economics in 1983 from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), in Second Class Upper Division, his master’s degree in Economics in 2006 and his PhD in Economics in 2012; all from the same university.
He is a chartered accountant, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Institute of Supervision and Leadership
Dr Bowale started his professional training at Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWater House Coopers) in Lagos in 1984, first as Audit Trainee. He rose to the position of Audit supervisor before he left in 1991 for Luncheon Vouchers Nig. PLC as Chief Internal Auditor.
He later joined Prudential Funds Management Ltd as Senior Manager- Corporate Finance in 1994 and worked till 1997 before he joined Mcbay Resources and Technology Management Group as executive consultant.
He worked as a lecturer at Adekunle Ajasin University between 2001 and December 2013. He was the Head of Department of Accounting in the university between 2012 and 2013.
Dr Bowale has attended many conferences both locally and internationally where he presented both professional and academic papers. He has also written many articles that had been published by local and international journals. He is an author of many professional books in Accounting and Auditing.
Dr Bowale has rendered several services to the public and community. He was a member of the Lagos State Cycling Association between1994-1997. He was a 2nd Deputy President of Ota/Agbara Chamber of Commerce and Industries in 2009. He was a member of the Association of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa syllabus (ABWA) Review Committee. He was a co-writer for ABWA/ATS study pack on Taxation in 2007. He is a chief examiner to the Association of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa and ICAN.
Dr Bowale is a financial and management consultant of repute. He is a Central Bank of Nigeria Certified Microfinance Training Consultant. He has participated, in the past, in tax monitoring consulting for both Lagos state in PAYE and withholding taxes and for the Federal Government of Nigeria in PAYE, withholding taxes and VAT in Textile and petroleum industries. He also participated in the financial audit for European Union on EUPRIME in 2007.
Dr Bowale is now in full consulting practice. He is also a director of many other companies.
His hobbies include gardening and travelling. He is happily married with children.
