Summary of Profile
He is a member of many professional and academic bodies. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Banker of Nigeria (ACIB), Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ACA), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) and has a Diploma in French from the French Language Centre, Benin City.
He is a pioneer staff of Covenant University, Ota, and holds a doctorate degree in Banking & Finance from the same University. He is currently a Senior lecturer of the Department of Banking & Finance, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. He worked as a Civil Servant (entered as ASCON candidate) in the old Bendel State of Nigeria which later metamorphosed into Edo State/Delta State and left the Edo State Office of the Auditor-General as Principal Audit Officer in 1994. He is a trained banker. Between 1994 and 1999, he held notable positions such as pioneer Head of Area Office (Benin) Central Clearing House, Head of Specie Movement and Treasury and branch inspector of the defunct New Nigeria Bank.
He was the Head of Business Studies, Shaka Polytechnic, Benin-City between 2000-2002. Has an Associate Lecturer of Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO, Benin-City Outreach, between (2000-2002), he taught Financial Accounting, Marketing and Elements of Banking; Open Cast Polytechnic, Benin City Affliated to University of Ekpoma, Edo State between (2000-2002), he taught Financial Accounting, Marketing, Elements of Banking and Business Finance. He has supervised over Sixty (80) undergraduate projects.
Dr Ikpefan O.Ailemen is an accomplished academician who has published over forty articles to reputable journals both local and international. He is currently on the academic staff of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State. His hobbies include reading and sports especially football. He is a retired Grade One Referee and now a match commissioner with the Nigeria (Football) Referee Association. He is married with children.
