(i) Design Studies (Architecture, Housing, Urban, Facilities Evaluation, Socio-Cultural and Environment Behavioral Issues).
(ii) Architectural Science, Engineering and Technology (including Building Materials and the Construction Industry)- with emphasis on design of super and mega tall buildings, long span structures and in-depth concern for systems functionality, structural integrity/stability and feasibility of designed projects.
(iii) Environment with focus on human habitation/settlement; global, continental and national population dynamics; mortality of vulnerable groups; and gender Issues.

Training and Professional Practice: Babalola, Daniel Olatunde is a Professional Architect. Having fully registered with Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), 1994 and Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), 1993- an affiliate of International Union of Architects (UIA), Commonwealth Association of Architects(CAA), and African Union of Architects (AUA), he had practiced extensively in the Construction Industry in various capacities as Project Architect, Resident Architect, Professional Architect, Project Manager, Company Manager, and Company Director, and in various aspects particularly Housing, Commercial, Industrial, Institutional and Complex Projects (including Public buildings and Socio-cultural Facilities) in Consultancy/Contracting Services for over 20 years before coming into the academics in 2005. He holds a Master of Science degree in Architecture (M.Sc. Arch.) and a Diploma in Computer Engineering (Dip. C.Engr.) Certificates. He is completing his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Architecture in Covenant University Ota, Nigeria, Africa soon.
