The use of the multiple-gradient array for geoelectrical resistivity and induced polarization imaging
Ahzegbobor P. Aizebeokhai , Kehinde D. Oyeyemi
Published at Journal of Applied Geophysics , Volume 111 , Issue doi:10.1016/j.jappgeo.2014.10.023 , Pages 364-376 , Published in 2014
The use of most conventional electrode configurations in electrical resistivity survey is often time consuming and labour intensive, especially when using manual data acquisition systems. Often, data acquisition teams tend to reduce data density so as to speed up field operation thereby reducing the survey cost; but this could significantly degrade the quality and resolution of the inversemodel...
Geophysical Imaging of Archaeological Materials at Iyekere, Ile- Ife Southwestern Nigeria
K. D. Oyeyemi*, M. A. Oladunjoye, A. I. Olayinka and A. P. Aizebeokhai
Published at Journal of Environment and Earth Science , Volume 5 , Issue 2 , Pages 148-159 , Published in 2015
Non-invasive geophysical methods are increasingly being used in archaeological studies. In this study, magnetic and electrical resistivity tomography geophysical techniques were integrated to locate subsurface archaeological materials. The survey consists of four parallel and three perpendicular profiles with station interval of 0.5 m for both magnetic and electrical resistivity tomography. Wen...

Multiple-gradient array for near-surface electrical resistivity tomography
Ahzegbobor P. Aizebeokhai*, Kehinde D. Oyeyemi, Olusola T. Kayode
Published at SEG: Near-Surface Asia Pacific Conference Waikoloa Hawaii 7-10 July 2015 , Pages pp. 324-327. , Published in 2015
The use of most conventional arrays for near-surface electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) surveys is usually cumbersome, time consuming and labour intensive. Thus, data acquisition teams are often tempted to reduce the data density with a view of speeding up field operation and minimizing the survey cost. This tends to significantly degrade the quality and resolution of the resulting resisti...
Radiological assessment of natural radionuclide contents in soils from Omala, Kogi State, Nigeria

Published at IEEE: Space Science and Communication (IconSpace) 2015 International Conference , Pages 56-60 , Published in 2015
High purity germanium detector (HPGe) was employed to assess radionuclide contents of 238U, 40K and 232Th in soils obtained from Omala, Kogi State, Nigeria. The activities measured vary from 9.0 to 82.2, 12.3 to 114.86 and below detector limit (BDL) and 349.0 Bq Kg-1 in 238U, 232Th and 40K respectively. Highest activities for the three radionuclides were consistently obtained from soil samples...
