Elizabeth is a Senior Software Engineer at Twitter, where she builds enterprise APIs. She has also been involved with Twitter’s WomEng+ group and, as part of these opportunities, co-organized Girls Who Code for Twitter's 2017 summer partnership. Before Twitter, Elizabeth spent time at Intel and Verizon building video ingestion workflows. Elizabeth's interest in computers started as a pre-teen creating simple websites, which eventually led her to attend the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, where she completed degrees in Computer Science and East Asian Languages and Cultures. Elizabeth stayed at USC to further her studies with a master’s degree in Computer Science.
Heather Frank is a Marketing Recruiter at LinkedIn, where she helps to bring top talent to the company. She recruits specifically for LinkedIn's Product Marketing and Pricing Strategy teams. Prior to joining LinkedIn three years ago, Heather worked in international education for six years in Switzerland, Taiwan, China and the U.S. Her work experience spans from recruiting high school and university students in Asia for cultural exchange programs in the U.S. and Europe to managing programs and events for international students and scholars new to the Bay Area. Heather has held positions at IIE for WeTech and Foreign Fulbright programs, Intrax Taipei, AYUSA Beijing and University of California at San Francisco's International Students and Scholars Office. Heather has a master’s degree in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, a bachelor’s degree in International Management from Franklin University Switzerland and is an advanced Mandarin speaker through work and study abroad, including a U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship.
Jeannice Fairrer Samani
Jeannice Fairrer Samani is a distinguished executive leader in the world of technology and higher education with a professional background as a technologist, academic and serial entrepreneur. She is an eminent Fulbright scholar that designed, executed and taught aninnovative symposium in Morocco for engineering professors and entrepreneurs and currently spearheads the practicum program for master’s students in Information Technology at Carnegie Mellon University. She is an engineering and business professor for international accredited universities and a sought-after speaker on the inclusion of women in technology, entrepreneurship, Managing from the Middle™, data analytics and visualization. Previously at the Anita Borg Institute for Women in Technology, she was a speaker, strategic planner, director and senior manager for the senior women's program at the Grace Hopper Celebration. Jeannice holds a double BA from the University of California, Berkeley, an MBA in Management and Sustainability from Golden Gate University, a Ph.D. in Business Administration and is currently pursuing her second Ph.D. in Data Analytics and Human Behavior from Case Western Reserve University.
Jessica Dickinson Goodman
Jessica grew up in East Palo Alto and San Jose, CA. As an undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon University, she led a student movement that made Pittsburgh, PA, the first mid-sized U.S. city to introduce legislation to combat sex trafficking, which was later passed in two states. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree in Ethics, History and Public Policy. After college, Jessica spent two years running online communications for a national anti-human trafficking nonprofit in Washington DC. Jessica missed grassroots organizing and moved to Seattle, where she organized volunteers in support of female candidates of color. She spent the 2015 legislative session working for the chair of Washington House Appropriations. When she had the opportunity to become a scheduler for then-California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris in 2015, Jessica moved back home to California. After helping manage the now-U.S. Senator's schedule, Jessica assisted with Xavier Becerra's transition to Attorney General and then joined Child Advocates of Silicon Valley as Outreach Coordinator. Currently, Jessica is taking classes in C++, Java, Python and Linux shell scripting and serving as the city of San Jose's Human Services Commissioner.
Larissa C. Shapiro
Larissa is the Head of Global Diversity and Inclusion at Mozilla, where she leads global efforts to build an inclusive culture and diverse staff and volunteer base and develops diverse Mozillians into global leaders. Formerly, she led contributor development, seeking to grow and develop Mozilla's global contributor base and build the internet the world needs. Prior to joining Mozilla, Larissa was the first Product Manager at Internet Systems Consortium, an open-source organization which created BIND, the domain name system (DNS) software that serves 80% of the name servers on the internet and hosts one of the 13 root name servers. Larissa also leads multiple open-source diversity mentoring programs and travels, speaks and presents worldwide supporting diversity in tech and open culture – "a dream come true."
Leedjia is an avid Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) and diversity advocate. She has been a scientist, engineer, blogger, professor and former Nasa employee. She studied psychology, engineering technology, international relations, diversity and human systems integration. She has won the international young investigator award from the aerospace medical society for math models of human perception, Nasa honors for equal opportunity efforts, Bay Area women of influence 2017 and the MKF women in STEM award. She serves on two non-profit boards, one startup, and several working groups. She loves promoting women and students in STEM! Her current job is to apply science for positive social change in large organizations.
Maile is a Principal Geologist at Northgate Environmental Management Inc. For nearly 20 years, she has worked with both public and private sector clients on a range of environmental investigation, restoration and risk management challenges, focusing on sustainable environmental restoration and urban redevelopment. As Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Sustainability Officer, she evaluates and incorporates sustainability principles into engineering projects and procurements, including materials and resource evaluations, water reuse and recycling and productive public involvement and outreach. She is a founder and past president of the board at the Sustainable Remediation Forum and a director at Art Works for Change, a local non-profit that harnesses the power of contemporary art to promote awareness and inspire action on a range of important social issues. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology from San Jose State University and a master's degree in Structural Geology from the University of British Columbia.
Pamela O'Leary is a diversity and inclusion expert. She has been an Adjunct Instructor at American University and Trinity Washington University and is the former Executive Director of the Public Leadership Education Network. She serves on the advisory council for Running Start and facilitates a Women in Management group at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She serves as an Appointed Commissioner on the City of San Mateo Planning Commission and was selected as a 2016 Impact Fellow at Singularity University. Pamela is the youngest elected member of the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee. In 2013, she was invited as an expert at United Nations meetings in Geneva and New York for the UN System-Wide Action Plan for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. At the U.S. House of Representatives, she proposed and led efforts to successfully pass a resolution condemning rape in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Pamela has been featured in The LA Times, National Journal, Washington Post and ForbesWoman. She has a master’s degree in Applied Women's Studies from Claremont Graduate University, a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from UC Berkeley and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Change, focusing on women's leadership and diversity management, at Fielding Graduate University.
Queen is a Technical University Recruiter at Autodesk, where she recruits technical summer interns for product groups and cultivates recruiting partnership at universities. She also supports Autodesk diversity initiatives through university recruiting by working with organizations and student groups such as Code 2040, Society of Women Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and National Society of Black Engineers. Prior to Autodesk, Queen spent several years in banking as a Business Relationship Manager with Wells Fargo and Chase. Queen holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria, and a master's degree in Human Resources Management from Golden State University, San Francisco.
Saura Naim serves as Senior Director of Enterprise Business Operations at Juniper Networks, driving enterprise-wide transformation and business operations to enable Juniper to improve customer experiences and financial results. Since joining Juniper in 2005, Saura has transformed business requirements across Juniper's supply chain, manufacturing, information technology and engineering divisions. She has proven abilities to understand and deliver strategic initiatives and business strategies by creating high-performing teams and assuring robust cross-functional corporate alignment. Saura has always mentored women in the workplace and is a returning TechWomen mentor. Saura holds a Master’s of Science in Management from Ben Gurion/Boston University, a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York Binghamton and has completed the Stanford Executive Program. Saura grew up in New York and then lived in Israel, where she began her hi-tech career. Today she lives in Silicon Valley with her husband and three children.
Zoe Schladow is a Lead Designer on the product innovation team at Netflix. Previously, she led Fitbit's design vision team in developing future health and wellness products and designed consumer electronics and audio experiences at Samsung Design America. Zoe received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Wellesley College and spent four years at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Design Lab, where she conducted original research in communications, transportation, manufacturing and finance. She has co-authored papers published for INTERACT, SIGGRAPH, NordiCHI, Mobile HCI and the International Journal of Architectural Computation.
Highlights of her presentation include gender inclusivity as it pertains to economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, political empowerment among others, as it relates to women’s representation in Leadership in the listed sectors.

ALDC vigorously pursues the development of leadership skills embedded in cutting edge scholarship in Leadership Development, through research, training, innovative policy solutions and workshops targeting different segments of the society, governance, professions and the world of work. At the end of the programme, participants will be issued a Certificate in Leadership Development which will specify competencies gained. In all, students earn 70-credit hours which will qualuify them to register for the Diploma in Leadership Development (DLD) Programme in Covenant University. It gives an edge to participants seeking next level positions/ positions of leadership/ managerial positions.
ALDC is distinct because her programmes are packaged to inspire and stir up the leadership potential in people rather than merely teaching people the art of leading. The Centre leverages on a number of different training methodologies to enable participants experience leadership as a transformational experience.

Professor Aize Obayan, Director; ALDC
Professor Aize Obayan, Director, African Leadership Development Centre, Covenant University providing leadership, strategic directions and along with the team, manages the African Leadership Development Centre as driven by the visionary, Dr. David Oyedepo; Chancellor, Covenant University. She is a seasoned academic, speaker award-winning University administrator and Professor of Counselling, specialising in Multicultural issues in Counselling. She has served as the second (2nd) substantive Vice- Chancellor in both Covenant and Landmark Universities. She is a member of the Council of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and National Universities Commission (NUC) Strategic Advisory Committee established to drive the repositioning of University education in Nigeria. In 2006, the National Universities Commission awarded her Best Vice-Chancellor (Private Universities Category). Aize Obayan, has served as a member of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s FSS 2020 Human Capital Development Committee. She has won several awards and delivered Keynote Addresses, nationally and internationally, speaking to issues of Leadership, Higher Education, Management, and Gender. Dr. Jonathan Odukoya
Dr. Odukoya is a Faculty of the Department of Psychology, College of Leadership Development Studies. He is also the principal investigator for the research group on “Situation Analysis of Leadership in Africa”. He brings into the research tried and tested skills of over 11 years in Psychometrics in the University and West African Examinations Council (WAEC) platforms. He has also served as Consultant to international organizations like UNICEF, UNESCO, ADEA, IDRC, ERNWACA and USAID/AED. Dr. Odukoya is currently the National Coordinator of the Educational Research Network for West and Central Africa [ERNWACA] in Nigeria. He has contributed immensely to the subject of leadership making contributions in areas of teamwork, leadership theories and stress management etc.
Dr. David Igbokwe
Dr. David Igbokwe is a Faculty in the Department of Psychology, College of Leadership Development, Covenant University where he obtained his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychologist in 2014. He served as the coordinator for Diploma in Leadership Development (DLD) and Certificate in Leadership Development (CLD) studies in 2015. Dr. Igbokwe has strong leadership skills and has demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships and work in a team environment. He possesses an extreme sense of industry, exceptional interpersonal skill, excellent oral communication skill, and a strong aptitude for learning. David has psychodiagnostic skills, and is versed in the application of the indigenous (African) time-limited dynamic psychotherapy method of Harmony Restoration Therapy (HRT) and is presently working on bridging the gap between western and indigenous psychotherapy methods by merging areas of divide through the development of a psychodiagnostic instrument, the Harmony-Disharmony Scale. He is a member of the Leadership Research Cluster group at Covenant University and has contributed immensely to the subject of leadership making contributions in areas of emotional management, leadership theories, multiple intelligences etc.
Mr. Abraham Owoseni
Abraham Owoseni has been called to raise a new breed of young people who are purposeful and holistically developed. He does this through various channels predominantly as a Professional Architect, Educator, Youth Development Worker, Youth Minister, Life Skills Coach and Public Speaker. He is a faculty member with the Department of Architecture, Covenant University. He has been thriving in the educational and youth development landscape for more than half a decade. Abraham has been featured on CoreTv News, AIT News Hour, Pulse Ng, Vanguard Newspaper, WiG radio, Inspiration FM 92.3, Hebron FM and other platforms for his contributions to Education and Youth Development. His books, articles, posts and other resources on print & online media have been notable tools in remolding minds. He is a veritable author, passionate teacher, career mind-set coach and profound thought leader. Abraham is married to his soul mate, Sarah and they make their home in Nigeria.
