Carnegie Fellow, Dr. Wura Jacobs, Visits Vice-Chancellor
Dr. Wura Jacobs, a recipient of the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship, on Monday, May 15, 2017, kicked off her visit to Covenant University with a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor AAA. Atayero.
According to Dr. Jacobs, her visit to Covenant University would last for two weeks, during which she will be working on issues relating to adolescent health-related behaviors and outcomes. Part of the planned activities include conducting a training on Social Network Analysis and its applications in health and visits to secondary schools in the area in preparations for a pilot study.
Prior to her coming to Covenant University, Dr. Jacobs had established a working relationship with Dr. Davies Adeloye, a senior lecturer of Demography and Social Statistics at the University, with whom she collaborates on abstracts, manuscripts, and research grant preparations.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor AAA. Atayero, who was glad to receive the Carnegie Fellow, said that her working visit is highly appreciated. He wished her a fulfilled stay in the University as she goes about her activities.
Also at the meeting was a faculty in the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Professor Sanjay Misra.
