Covenant Ranks 36th among Varsities Founded in the 21st Century
All good things belong to Jesus. That is why Covenant University, the Best University in West Africa, heartily appreciates God for further announcing His University to the world as Covenant is today ranked No. 36 in the world in the league of universities founded since the year 2000.
The Times Higher Education (THE) had in its 2019 rankings of Millennial universities, ranked Covenant joint 36 with seven other universities in the rankings featuring French institutions, Paris Sciences et Lettres – PSL Research University Paris and Sorbonne University, occupying the 1st and 2nd positions.
Remarkably, Covenant, which is making her debut in the Millennial Rankings (MR), is the only Nigerian institution in the rankings compiled for the third time this year. The MR is a subset of the THE Young University Rankings, which lists the best universities that are 50 years old or younger. Overall, 64 universities from 29 countries/regions featured in the MR list.
This new global ranking comes nine months after Covenant debuted in the 601-800 bracket of the THE’s flagship rankings, the World University Rankings. Covenant had since the September 2018 World University Rankings feat featured in other categories of rankings such as the African Rankings, Subject Rankings, Emerging Economies Rankings, and the Impact Rankings.
The MR is in tandem with Covenant’s debut in THE Young University Rankings (YUR), where she was ranked within the 151-200 bracket.
This is what the Lord has done in Covenant’s drive at becoming one of the Top 10 Universities in the world by 2022, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
