Covenant Researchers Lead Globally in Two Distinct Research Topics

 

The research exploits of a faculty at Covenant University, Professor Eziyi Offia Ibem, has received global reckoning courtesy of his numero uno status in two different research topics, as computed by SciVal, an online tool that offers quick, easy access to the research performance of 7,000 research institutions and 220 nations worldwide using bibliometrics.

Professor Ibem of the Department of Architecture emerged No.1 in the top 10 list of the leading 100 authors in E-Procurement; Industry; Electronic procurement, and also No.1 in the top 10 list of the leading 100 authors in Housing; Satisfaction; Public rental.

According to SciVal, the Covenant researcher had 10 scholarly output, 74 citations, and 14 h-index in E-Procurement; Industry; Electronic procurement over the period 2014 to 2019 to lead other researchers in the top 10 list. The runner-up in this topic was Dr Kishor Vaidya of the University of Canberra, Australia, with 9 scholarly output, 45 citations, and 6 h-index.

The list featured three other Covenant researchers. These included Dr Bridgette Egidario Aduwo of the Department of Architecture (7 scholarly output, 46 citations, and 6 h-index); Dr Patience Tunji Olayeni of the Department of Building Technology (7 scholarly output, 46 citations, and 9 h-index); and Dr Adedeji Afolabi, also of Building Technology Department (5 scholarly output, 22 citations, and 11 h-index).

In the Housing; Satisfaction; Public rental topic, Professor Ibem led with 13 scholarly output, 35 citations, and 14 h-index, while the runner-up, Professor Clinton Aigbavboa of the University of Johannesburg, recorded 12 scholarly output, 24 citations, and 14 h-index.

The other Covenant researchers in the top 10 list for Housing; Satisfaction; Public rental topic were Dr Bridgette Egidario Aduwo, with 6 scholarly output, 13 citations, and 6 h-index; and Dr Akunnaya Opoko of the Architecture Department, who had 6 scholarly output, 14 citations, and 3 h-index.
