Some of the world’s leading institutions in the Times Higher Education ranking, like the University of New York (27th) and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (37th), played catch-up to Covenant University as the Nigerian institution emerged 1st in the world in the field of Library; Disaster; Disaster Recovery.
Covenant’s haul of 3 publications and 2 citations ranked her as No. 1 among the top 10 institutions worldwide in this field, according to the quick and easy access to the research performance of 8500 research institutions and 220 countries worldwide, Elsevier SciVal.
The outcome of SciVal’s computations, spanning the period between 2012 and 2017, saw McGill University, ranked 42nd in the world by the Times Higher Education, emerging runner-up to Covenant, with 3 publications and 8 citations.
