Professor Atayero Elected Fellow Institute of Management Consultants
The Vice-Chancellor, Covenant University, Professor AAA Atayero, was among a group of erudite scholars, elected to serve as Fellows of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), with the responsibility of stimulating transfer process of vast industry experience to the younger generation.
Professor Atayero’s election into the Institute was on the occasion of a one-day Certified Management Consultant (CMC) seminar organised by the institute, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to outstanding academic community, professional standing, and demonstrated commitment to creating, maintaining and promoting world standards of management consulting practice.
This year’s seminar, held at the Lagos Airport Hotel, saw award-winning business expert and CMC Lead Assessor, Dr. Elijah Ezendu, appealing to the new Fellows to recognize the importance of their new status, and ensure that their vast experiences are not lost, but harnessed and shared with the younger generation.
He maintained that it would be disheartening should Fellows of the Institute just retire with their vast experiences. He enjoined them to partner with the body to help the upcoming ones improve on the current state of affairs in the nation and the continent a large.
Dr. Ezendu posited that various platforms would be created to carry out these activities through seminars, workshops, symposia and trainings, as every development process starts with any of these.
According to him, as an organ, recognised by the United Nations, Fellows of the Institute are privileged up to the point of delivering a five minutes address at the UN General Assembly, if there are pertinent issues to discuss. It is therefore for members to use this platform for evolving great change in Nigeria and Africa. These awards and special recognitions are therefore to inspire members to do more for their immediate societies.
The Institute of Management Consultants is recognized by the United Nations as a body of men and women who have been in practice all through the years with proven results.
