Summary of Profile
He is a Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (FNSE) in 1992, Corporate Member of the Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers (IEEE) (N0 6759682M) and a duly Registered Electrical Engineer by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering practice in Nigeria (COREN) (N0 1586) in 1981.
HE is a core Electrical Power Systems Engineer who specializes in Reliability of Power System. He has acquired a lot of practical experience in Power Systems Designs of different complexities. He is an External Examiner to University to of Illorin 2016 to date.
To his credit, he has 66 publications to date. He is currently supervising PhD work of a number of candidate at the Covenant of University, Ota. They are at their various stages of completion. He was once an Associate Lecturer (Professorial Cadre). supervising PhD work of a number of candidates at the University of Lagos. He currently teaches Research Methodology (EIE510), Power System Planning and Design (EEE526), Advanced Reliability Analysis of Power Systems (EPM818) and Advanced Research Methodology (CUR911) and he is the Coordinator of Fundamental of Electrical Engineering I (GEC211) and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering II (GEC228) at Covenant University. His current Research interests are Reliability of Power systems, wind energy and maintainability of power systems.
He is the immediate past Chairman of the Covenant University Central Curriculum Committee.
He delivered a Lecture titled “Plagiarism and issues of Quality” at Covenant University, Post Graduate School Symposium held between October 30 and 31 2013
He also delivered the 38th Public Lecture of Covenant University on October 24th, 2014. The title of the Lecture is: The Nigeria Electricity Industry: Issues, Challenges and Solutions. He was the Deputy Dean, School of Applied Engineering at Covenant University during 2014/2015 session.
Prof. Claudius Ojo Aremu Awosope is a Nigerian and he is happily married with grown-up and successful children.
He enjoys football, listening to good music and reading
