Summary of Profile

Emmanuel ADETIBA obtained a B.Eng. (Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Ilorin in 2002. After his one year national youth service, he proceeded to Covenant University, Nigeria, to commence an academic career while studying concurrently towards a Masters degree (M.Eng.) in Electrical and Information Engineering (ICT option), which he completed in 2007. He obtained his Ph.D in Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) at the same University in January 2014. He is a member of several professional bodies such as the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Institute of Information Technology Professionals, South Africa (IITPSA), etc. He is a registered engineer (R.Engr.) with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He has received several grants such as the Durban University of Technology (DUT), South Africa, Postdoctoral Fellowship Grant (2014-2016), DUT International Travel Grant (2016), South Africa National Research Foundation Knowledge Interchange Grant (NRF-KIC 2016), Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) Research Grant (2014), IEEE EMBS Travel Grant (2012), Rockefeller/SAHIA Travel Grant (2010) and IMIA/HELINA Grant (2009). He has authored and co-authored about fifty scholarly articles some of which are indexed in ISI, Scopus and CPCI databases. His research interests include Machine Intelligence, Software Defined and Cognitive Radio as well as Biomedical Signal Processing. He is a Professor at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria and an Honorary Research Associate at the Institute for Systems Science, Durban University of Technology, Durban, South Africa.
