Summary of Profile

Dr. Dominic Ezinwa Azuh holds a Ph.D. degree in Population Studies. He is a population Scientist and Associate Professor of Demography and Social Statistics in the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Covenant University Ota Ogun State Nigeria. Dr. Azuh is an astute community-based researcher and undertaken many research projects, among which are sponsored research projects on “Non-Medical Determinants of Maternal Mortality in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, Ogun State Nigeria”; “Assessment of Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs) Situation in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area” and “Child Morbidity and Survival in Ado-Odo/Ota and IFO Local Government Areas.” He has co-authored several research papers published in books, journals and attended several conferences. Dr. Dominic Azuh belongs to several associations namely, International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP); Asia Forum for Development and Population Study (AFDAPS); International Union for Global Health, South East Asia Regional Bureau India, Population Education Association, Tirupati India, Nigerian Sociological Society, and Nigerian Population Association. He is the author of Child survival under threat. Dominic Azuh also belongs to many research groups, namely Covenant University Public Health and Well-being Research Cluster and Population and Development Research Cluster, Well Being, Private-Public Partnership Cluster, and Behavioral Issues Research Cluster. His research interests include public health, maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, gender issues, habitat, and migration.
