The David Oyedepo Foundation (DOF) has announced the Community-Relevant, Industry and Product-Based Research (CRIPBaR) 2.0 funding call, aimed at driving innovative research and product development that addresses Nigeria’s most pressing challenges.
What is DOF CRIPBaR 2.0?
CRIPBaR 2.0 is a strategic initiative under DOF’s Vision 7:2030 to promote industry-focused research and commercializable solutions. The program supports projects that deliver real-world impact, from prototype development to market-ready products.
Key Research Areas
Applicants must focus on at least one of these priority sectors:
- Governance: Smart systems for public administration
- Renewable Energy: Solar, bioenergy, energy storage
- Food Security: Agri-tech, sustainable farming
- Waste Management: Recycling, waste-to-energy
- Affordable Healthcare: Medical devices, telemedicine
- Smart Agriculture: IoT-enabled precision farming
- Infrastructure: Smart cities, sustainable construction
- Climate Change & Environment: Green technologies
- Education: EdTech, STEM innovation
- Water & Sanitation: Clean water access, purification tech
Funding Categories
- Category A: Up to $30,000
- Category B: Up to $10,000
- Category C: Up to $5,000
Projects must deliver a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) within 12 months. At least 90% of funds should go to non-personnel costs.
Eligibility
- Principal Investigators must be faculty from Covenant University or Landmark University.
- Teams should be multidisciplinary (max 5 members) and include an industry expert.
- Previous grant awardees are not eligible.

- A detailed proposal (max 15 pages) covering methodology, commercialization strategy, and budget.
- CVs of all team members (merged PDF).
- Supporting documents (e.g., partnership agreements).
