Two weeks after returning to the campus, Covenant University students are currently sitting for the Omega Semester Examinations of the 2019/2020 Academic Session.
The Omega Examinations were a few weeks away when the Federal Government, in March 2020, ordered the closure of all educational institutions in the country to forestall a blanket spread of the coronavirus disease.
The examinations had been well-organized and the students were very orderly in their conduct.
The University Management had ensured that the conduct of the examinations was in line with the guidelines and protocol of the National Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC). There was strict observance of social distancing, the students were sitting one (1) meter apart, and they all had their face masks on, in accordance with the NCDC protocols and guidelines.
While the students were away from the campus, the Covenant University Management, utilizing the exquisite online resources of the institution, had ensured lectures continued. Also, for the first two weeks of resumption, the faculty of Covenant engaged the students in revision exercise.
The revision exercise complemented the knowledge gathered by the students during the 13-week online classes before resumption on Monday, 28th of September 2020.
The Covenant Management had maintained correspondence with the students, dishing out information as at when due. Students, however, had enough time to prepare for the exams because preparation was key.
