Crawford University Seeks Robust Partnership with Covenant

The Vice-Chancellor of Crawford University, Igbesa, Professor Ruben Jiya Kolo, has indicated an interest in evolving a working relationship with Covenant University to promote academic excellence and robust human capital development.

During his courtesy call to Covenant Management, Professor Kolo said the purpose of the visit was to get familiar and in tune with Covenant University's operating philosophy and see how both institutions could partner in driving excellence on the diverse frontiers of tertiary education.

"I am looking forward to a synergy to ensure that a robust partnership is formed toward establishing a viable working relationship," he stated. Professor Kolo said he hoped that the relationship would leverage both universities' foundation being faith-based to make something unique happen.

In his remark, the Vice-Chancellor, Covenant University, Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo, congratulated his counterpart on his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of Crawford after his meritorious service as a member of the Board of Trustees of the same institution for many years.

He promised to strengthen the cord of the existing bilateral partnership between the two neighbouring universities before seeking foreign alliances. Professor Adebayo pledged open-door access and support to foster improved exchange initiatives cutting across teaching, research, and staff development scheme.

"We cherish your University being a faith-based institution, and what we are doing is geared towards advancing the kingdom of God here on earth," he added.

Also present during the courtesy visit were members of the Management teams of Covenant and Crawford
