Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, has emerged the best in compliance with the policy guidelines of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) at the 2020 JAMB National Tertiary Admissions’ Performance-Merit Award (NATAP-M Award).
The event held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, during the admission policy meeting, chaired by the Education Minister, Adamu Adamu.
Covenant University emerged tops and was awarded a cash prize of Seventy-Five Million Naira (N75,000,000:00) and a certificate of award as the most compliant institution in keeping to the Admissions Guidelines of the 2020/2021 Admission Exercise by the Registrar of the JAMB, Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede, OFR.
Professor Oloyede said the total cash prize currently put at N500 million will be raised to N750million in the next edition of the awards, to accommodate different categories for universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo, who received the prize on behalf the University returned all the glory to God and appreciated the Chancellor and Chairman, Board of Regents, Dr. David O. Oyedepo, for his qualitative leadership and support to the University.
He said the University management was enthused about the award, noting that it was the Lord’s doing and all glory can only be returned to Him.
