Covenant University has emerged the best at the just concluded Nigerian Model United Nations Society (NIGIMUNS) conference in Abuja. The university delegation made of four students representing four different countries as ambassadors and two staff, emerged as the Best School Delegation at the conference.
Covenant University resumed academic activities on Wednesday, January 02, 2008 after a three-and-a-half week Shiloh/Christmas holiday break. The University campus started bubbling with live as early as 7 am when students, who were warmly received at their halls of residence by faculty and staff, started arriving with great excitement and expectations for the New Year.
CU holds Public Lecture on Chemical Industry: An Index of the Technological Development of a Nation.
As manufacturing industries in the country continue to depend heavily on imported basic chemicals while neglecting the nation's abundant raw materials, the Covenant University's 19th Public Lecture will x-ray the challenges and prospects of Nigerian chemical industry on the overall socio-economic and technological development of the country.
A Special Advance for Principal Officers and newly appointed Heads of Departments was organized by Covenant University on Saturday, 23rd February, 2008 between l0am and 5.00pm. The Advance whose theme was Driving Excellence was aimed at briefing new Heads of Departments on their role expectations in their new assignment.
Activities marking the second convocation ceremony of Covenant University kick-off on Monday, July 16, 2007 in a three-pronged programme. These are special University Assembly in the morning, World Press Conference, addressed by the Chancellor, Dr David Oyedepo in the afternoon and serenade evening that witnessed Special Gospel Concept.
