Alamala Barracks Pays Courtesy Visit to the Management of Covenant University

In a gesture of goodwill, the 35AB Vulcan WOS and Segt’s Mess from Alamala Barracks recently visited Covenant University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo, to extend their congratulations on his acceptance of an honorary membership offer of their esteemed Mess.

While making his remarks, in the meeting which took place in the Vice Chancellor's office, the General Coordinator of the visiting team, Engineer Kolawole Emmanuel, praised Professor Adebayo’s invaluable contributions to society. He highlighted the Vice Chancellor’s leadership, wisdom, and exemplary character, which makes him an ideal role model, deserving of the honorary membership recognition, and requested special consideration for their members regarding postgraduate tuition fees.

In his remarks at the event, Professor Adebayo expressed gratitude for the recognition and commended the team's commitment to societal progress. He reiterated Covenant University's vision of cultivating a new generation of leaders in Africa and emphasized the institution's goal to positively impact society. He assured the team that he would present their request to the board of management and provide updates on the outcome.

During the meeting, Professor Adebayo was officially decorated with the honorary membership award. 

Also present at the event were Professor Solomon Oranusi, Head of the Security Committee of the University; Mr. Emmanuel Igban, Principal Assistant Registrar and Ms Chichi Ononiwu, Ag Head, Media and Corporate Affairs.

This meaningful visit underscores the strong partnership between Covenant University and Alamala Barracks, highlighting their shared commitment to community development and leadership.
