Walk in God's Shadow and be Exempted from all Evils - Pro-Chancellor

The Pro-Chancellor of Covenant University, Bishop David Abioye, has implored the students of Covenant University to maintain a personal walk with God and avoid leaving His presence to seek personal gratification which could lead to a breach in arriving at their great future.

He gave this advice while delivering his charge at the Closing Assembly of the University, marking the conclusion of the Alpha Semester Exams and the commencement of their Semester break.

According to him, taking a break from the University, should not equal taking a break from being God’s ally. Making a reference to Psalm 91, he stated that staying in the presence of God gives one an advantage over those who are not under God’s protection.

“It is those who stay under God’s protection that He exempts from all evils,” He said.

The Pro-Chancellor concluded with a hearty prayer for the safety of all the students as they leave the campus to their various destinations.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo, admonished the students to continue to be good ambassadors of their glorious Alma-Mata, Covenant University, in their comportment.

He went further to reel out various academic awards and achievements that the University garnered during the Alpha Semester; using the occasion to thank all the faculty, staff and students for a most successful semester.

Also present at the event were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olujide Adekeye; Acting Registrar, Mrs. Regina Tobi-David; the University Chaplain, Pastor Prince Ogunmola; Deans of Colleges, and other members of the Covenant University Management.
