With great enthusiasm and palpable euphoria, the successful set of freshmen into Covenant University for the 2023/2024 academic session stormed the university grounds to commence registration as they embarked on their academic journey in Nigeria’s topmost citadel of learning.
The university resumption committee, comprising faculty and staff of various units and directorates, was on the ground to receive the new students and guide them through the registration processes ahead of their weeklong orientation exercise.
As of Sunday, October 1, 2023, over 1,600 freshmen were through with the registration process and settled into their various halls of residence, while the returning students started coming in droves on Monday, October 2, 2023.
Some of the students were enthused at the prospect of making the list of successful candidates for Covenant University while hoping to make the most of their studentship during the course of their various programmes.
In an official communication to the University Community, the Registrar, Mrs. Regina Tobi-David, said lectures will commence in earnest on Tuesday, October 3, for all returning students, while orientation and induction will be held for all greenhorns in the academic environment of the university.
Parents and guardians who accompanied their wards to the university commended the university management for making the resumption protocols more conducive and organised this time, as the various teams involved made the exercise-friendly, seamless, and stress-free.
The resumption committee of the university comprises members of the Students Support Programme (SSP), the Students’ Affairs Unit, personnel of the Medical Centre, and the Centre for Systems and Information Services (CSIS).
